Thank you for a wonderful stay. House v. child friend;y – our 2 year old loved the puzzles and the hedgehog game. We went to the Wild boar farm which was great. Pubs nearby are friendly and would definitely recommend the Dog an Partridge for Sunday lunch.

We had a great holiday here! We really appreciated such a comfortable, well equipped cottage, with many thoughtful touches. We can thoroughly recommend the Tillotsons Arms, and Parlick is well worth the climb! We also celebrated my birthday in style at the Inn at Whitewell. Thanks for the recommendation! Next time Lancashire calls we’ll be staying here…thanks again. Jo & Miles.

Our time here has been very special. Thank you – no. 10 has been a haven: a place of security and happiness, both in the house and the village itself. We shall cherish the time spent here, and feel sure that we shall return.

We had a very nice weeks break. Cottage very cozy. Well equipped. Pub next door very good. Recommend trip on train Settle – Carlisle. Stopped at Appleby. Although weather restricted walks we managed some. Chipping a delightful village. Parking across road OK, but some residents not keen on parking opposite! note on car! Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

I have visited the area several times previous – however – when I entered the cottage I was enthralled! It felt so comfortable. It’s my idea of a home, not just a holiday. BUT – at just 5 foot tall the stairs were a challenge (That’s a joke by the way). Had a wonderful time. Thank You So Much.

Lovely cottage and really enjoyable week away. Great walks in this area with beautiful countryside. Would recommend the cheese makers walk which starts and ends right outside the door! Twee village store on the corner with scrummy home-made meat pies and local cheeses – worth a visit. Thankyou!

Chipping on a wet weekend in February does not sound like everyone’s idea of fun – but the cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped and the village is lovely. Between the showers we managed some enjoyable mainly low level walks (because the tops of the hills were covered in cloud) without going more than 10 miles from the village. We recommend the Three Fishes for a marvellous and good value dining experience – but would NOT recommend the Bailey Arms in Hurst Green. Tillostoms Arms is a excellent and welcoming local, with good food and beers.

Love the cottage!! It’s truly beautiful with all the old quirks and charm. Very comfortable and well equipped. Had some great meals in and scrabble matches in front of the stove. We have truly experienced all four seasons in one day. Woke up to a light covering of snow, headed out to Clitheroe in the rain, had hot sunshine on the way bak to Inn at Whitewell where the food is very nice, and returned to the local pub once again in light snow. Lovely area and will be back to further explore.
